Yeah, I have to admit.... you're not totally connected if you believe this will remain front-and-center for a month. First of all, the American Public's attention span is notoriously short, and second, have you noticed a little thing called the Great Depression II ?

There is no equivalence. This isn't tit for tat.

Ass for tat, maybe.
Too soon to be sure.

Actually I think Obama will use the time "his agenda" is out of the headlines to his advantage. Based on how he ran his campaign it is clear he is able to focus on the important issues of the moment while planning for the next. Given time "to himself" I think you will find him just that much more focused on making "his agenda" just that much more compelling. So, don't feel bad for Obama, Jaybaugh, he will have his ducks in a row and this national diversion makes it that much easier for him to check the readiness of other potential ducks before making any commitments. Obama may be able to "focus on the important issues," but the drive-by media will focus on what he knew and when he knew it--obsessively! And it is the media that will determine his agenda for the foreseeable future.

While Dig blows his wad in a pitiful display of premature, partisan, political ejaculation over his joy that a scandal has erupted and if people really try, it could, possibly, if God would puhleeze allow it, interfere with Obama's plans for fixing the economy and ending the wars, and restoring the world's view and respect for America, then tries to "cover it up" by acting like he is proud of his affliction. Reminds me of this SNL skit from last weekend:

Hulu - Saturday Night Live: SNL Digital Short: J*** in My Pants

Obama shut down the Reverend Wright business opportunity for the media when no one thought he could, and he will do the same here, especially since the story is about the douche bag Governor, not Obama. The media is not particularly sharp witted. Even Bush handled them for quite a while.
