Did it say how much Michelle Obama had spend in the 18 months on the campaign. I know that in many of the shots she is wearing the same outfit [excepting the blackwidow ensemble]?
And as for those "same outfits for 20 bucks at Dress Barn", see what they look like after 10 wears. I used to buy inexpensive dress shirts and suits and found that they became misshapen and unusable after six months of rotation. Now I spend more and I have some that are very usable [and still in style] a decade later.
Nobody was complaining that Palin wore nice cloths. That should be expected. What was surprising was that the RNC dropped $150,000 [now $180,000] in just nine weeks for clothing at NM Saks and Bloomingdales while talking about the "ELITE" Democrats who were not in touch with the common middle class. It was the hypocrisy that was the humor, not the nice cloths. Hey, it's their money, not mine.
First, I have to correct a mistake. It was the CBS Early show, not NBC. I don't pay attention to the names and when I went to check on the show's reporters' names, saw my error.
The dress expert sampled four or five dresses that Obama wore at campaign events and rattled off the near or over thousand dollar price tags for each. She then went on to explain how the fabric in the Obama dresses was much heavier and "sheath like".
At that point, Maggie Rodriguez stopped the segment, saying it was wrong for CBS to attack Sarah Palin's expensive wardrobe while keeping mute on the cost of the gowns that had been designed and created for Michelle Obama. Rodriguez then apologized on air for CBS's behavior, promised that the segment mentioning the high priced apparel would appear on YouTube indefinitely, vomited into Julie Chen's lap and fucked Harry Smith in the ass with her microphone.
That last paragraph my contain factual inaccuracies.
