Okay, this is the best I've got right now, because it just happened.
I was on my way to lunch and saw a little Toyota RAV-4 stuck in the right lane, just past a highway off-ramp near a very busy intersection. Someone was trying to push it by walking backwards against it, with the driver still in the thing, and it wasn't going well. My office is now VERY time sensitive about attendance for some reason, and I might have had 30 minutes to actually eat if I went straight there and straight back.
So I stopped, offered to use my tow strap to pull them into a nearby parking lot, gave them a tow, calmed them down a bit (they were getting honked at and flipped off, which was very Christian of the Bible Belt drivers), and helped them figure out what to do next.
I've done the same in the past, as often as I can. Sometimes when it snows or ices over, I will drive around looking for people who get stuck since we have 4x4 in the Yukon and can get them unstuck pretty quick.
It's the little things.
