I don't agree that global economies should devote much (if any) of their GDP on radical counter measures, but that's a far cry from denying the overwhelming scientific evidence that human activity is contributing to the warming cycle. Steering investment towards technologies which do not exacerbate the problem would seem to make both economic and environmental good sense though.
