"Like Aunt Claire there is no science that can tell us why we are here. Science can tell us why we breather, or what happens if we do not get enough water, etc. There is no science though that can tell us why we love, why we fight, why we disagree.
I choose to believe that there is something out there that created this world and made us special and gave us free will. For it is only with free will that you can ever truly love.
That is why I believe there is a God, and that he is good".
No religion tells us 'why' we are here and stands up to critical analysis.
There is plenty of evolutionary explanation for loving and fighting. Read some Dawkins.
If 'something' out there created this world etc., what created that 'something'? The age-old reductionist argument won't go away just because you choose to ignore it.
A god which allows suffering of the innocent must be a cunt, not 'good'
You certainly appear to be 'special' and some of us have already offered our sympathy for that, Corky.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful"
