I agree with that assessment. I think Liddell's upbringing in China made him a genuinely GOOD person. Same with Mother Teresa. A GOOD PERSON. Whether religion was attached to their lives or not, they would do good work and good things for people.

When I see someone like that as an example I see a good person that is also religious, not just a religious person [and be expected to assume that goodness is drawn from that]

That's a conclusion reached based on a preconceived notion and is hardly one based on intellect or logic.
