Drew you need to remove the Credit Default Swaps (CDS).
Don't bail them out; just remove them, lock stock & barrel.
They're gumming up the system & causing the stalling.
HTH..

If you get time take a picture of the engine compartment a close up of the air Mass meter area would help.

and full model number / engine number....

I got time since I am sitting here doing online customer support today althought there may be delay in responding if I am at the support computer and not this one.

Also do you have a hand operated vacuum pump?

if so you can check the Dieverter valve also called MTC or Shut off Valve and check the Thermo Vacuum valve operation too

Gauge tied to the economy switch that you flip and it shuts off the gas and the car stalls.... that way you great great fuel economy since the engine not running?

I wish I could but it's dark and getting cold. I will be going under the car tomorrow anyway because I have to pull the trans cable so I can remove the front instrument panel. I need to calibrate the speedometer.

Ha, I have an economy gauge in my dash cluster, but it's been converted to read out turbo boost pressure, rather than vacuum.
