jobs?

Well i'm just curious what everyone does for a living?

I, personally, am torn of what I wanna do for my future. At the current plan I am at I am going to go to either Northern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, Illinois State University. Then to go into the ROTC program at which ever school, while studying for my Bachelor of Science in Finance.

But the ROTC is because im in the army now, been in 2 years. I'm only 19 yrs old, and so I figure finance will give me many options, since I don't know what I wanna do.

Do anything you like, do what you like to do, become good at that, then eat your competitors. No, literally.

I like to drive cars... a lot. All sorts of driving.. off road, street, drag. Anything and everything... minus semis and city buses.

Becoming a professional racer does not appear in my future that I can see...

So what do you do though? LOL that was my question

Go for an engineering degree and find a race school that will have you, like Bondurant or something.

Talk to a career counselor about finance in today's [and mid term future] markets. They should have current data but also Google as much as you can to glean information.

The financial sector has been laying off degreed finance professionals, MBAs, and business majors like they had the cooties this past few months. Right now there is a serious glut in the market for that skillset. It might change but the timing is what your counselor can help you with.

Oh, and to answer your question, 30 year Systems Management Analyst/Senior Systems Architect. I have been trying to retire for the past three years but cannot seem to do it.

^ ... but first, you'll have to develop an unattractive, hairy paunch, a fruity french mustache, long wiry nose and earlobe hair, and grow out your graying, receding hair to unmanageable lengths.

(That means we want our money back, Drew.)
