It isn't earth shattering, but not bad either. Just stop all the half stepping and take the full leap and get the upcoming Aston Rapide. If it is an SUV you want then get a full size Range Rover or Escalade. No need to drive something around that apologizes to everyone instead of making a sure statement.

I owned two Range Rovers prior to buying the Cayenne S and I can't say I miss my regular, sometimes monthly trips to my Land Rover dealer for all kinds of problems. The ’04 RR was better than the ’01 but the past 10 months I’ve only seen the dealer for scheduled service. Making statements can be very frustrating sometimes...

Very true and there is so much more you can do with the Cayenne/Touareg than the Range Rover or Escalade............

I really, REALLY do miss the two piece rear gate the RR's had however. There is no way to override the power, one piece clamshell gate on the Cayenne and it limits the length of what you can lug around to what will allow the gate to close completely. Awkward long items like Christmas trees won't fit totally inside and unlike the with the RR, I can't bungee the glass down and gain a few feet. I have hit this barrier a few times and find it quite annoying.

Why would you? You would be stuck with a company with negative value.

I nomally love Porsche design, but that Panamera fell out of the top of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
Back end design is a result of the interior room mandate from the Porsche CEO. Article explaining why:

I just don't see the problem with the rear of the Porsche sedan. American automotive journalists generally do not know enough about cars to draw their own conclusions, thus whatever is said originally sticks and never changes. Read CAR magazine for genuinely differing points of view on the same car.
