Thanks for playing!
Maybe you missed that people are tired off all the crap. Who gives a shit about Biden in the 90s when the economy is tearing everyone a new asshole. Your average voter didn't need to know this piddly shit, they had a simple conclusion drawn from the disaster of Republicanism: you fuckers had to go.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Yes the Republicanism that was in office under Bush had to go. I actually agree with you FTL.

The only problem is that Bush's policies were nothing but watered down versions of Democrat policies, except for the stance on the War. What we should all be looking out for now is the amplifying of Bush policies. You will see this start to come about as the the administration starts taking a more direct role in such things as government owned entities (Fannie and Freddie), more bailout money especially to those industries that have large Union Representations.

The reason that Bush's policies have failed is because he was trying to sell Liberal Democrat Philosophy as Conservative. The Kool-Aid Drinkers on the right (yes there are some) would do anything that Bush said was "Conservative." These are the republican equivalents to those you saw in Obama video I posted a few days ago.

People who actually have a concept of what "Principles" are were screaming bloody murder. Bush had two main goals when he took office:

1. Rebuild the Executive Power that had been slowly eroded away over the years.
2. Look like he was a bi-partisan leader reaching accross the aisle.

If anything, Bush's Presidency, when looking at his domestic agenda, is an abject lesson in the fact that when you try to compromise on a principle you end up with a soup sandwich.

Who's John Galt.

Bush is a model of the new Republicanism, don't blame his schtick on the Dems. Has a democratic president ever conspired with an extremist to clandestinely infiltrate the federal government? Bush did -- successfully.

And this "Look like he was a bi-partisan leader reaching accross the aisle." is pure comedy. The Bush administration is by far the most partisan and divisive in my lifetime, perhaps in our country's history. We can only hope that the myriad wounds inflicted by this Rovian divisiveness can heal over the course of the next generation or so.

Obambi can't be trusted! He speaks in complete sentences, and knows how to pronounce all the words! That makes him a liberal elitist!
