Indeed, Kool-Aid is a Kraft Food. BUT, they didn't use Kool-Aid. They used Flavor-Aid, a generic version. I'm sure Kraft foods would like to set the record straight, but, just in case they don't, I will.

I made no such claim. On the other hand, there's no bad publicity in the advertising world.

<sigh>

I'll connect the dots.

Regardless of what powdered fruit flavored drink was used as a delivery system for the poison, it become known in the generally accepted public lexicon as "Kool-Aid".

"Drinking the Kool-Aid", originally a euphemism for committing suicide which was directly traceable to the events at Jonestown, morphed over time to mean, "Do not drink the Kool-Aid" refering to the Jonestown tragedy, meaning "Do not trust any group you find to be a little on the kooky side," or "Whatever they tell you, do not believe it too strongly.

Kraft is the owner of the brand. They cannot be happy that their product is so heavily identified as something NOT to drink.

Ergo...They'd be happier if this whole thing could be forgotten.

See?
