I read the Circuit City bankruptcy creditors list and it was for about 3 mil. Of course, that's billed debt, not what it actually cost, so Monster Cables is out at least a few thousand dollars, depending on the price of copper when the cables were made.

That sucks. It happens, sometimes but it still sucks.

That's odd. How would they know your old address? You don't give that kind of info out willingly, as I recall.

So the 52" TV was not in the cab with the delivery guys??? They were using paperwork to determine where you lived? OK. That was sarcasm.

Asshole. That's when he needs to call the store and get it figured out.

I'm wondering if the delivery guys were Best Buy or contracted out. Delivery is the least controllable aspect of retail because the people are off site. It's easier to stop shoplifting than to keep track of delivery.

The delivery guys were best buy guys. They got my old address from the "buyers card" application [that little discount thing on your key ring]. I gave them the old address for mailing purposes as I didn't live at the new house yet.

It was one of those "how could this many things actually go wrong and you guys still be in business" kinda things. I called the local appliance store [where we bought the washer/dryer/range/ovens etc and told them what happened. They gave me the same TV for less money even though they had been higher in normal pricing. So it all worked out.
