weighing in:
SL500 does the same thing as then NSX, to a lesser degree.
We ARE a M-B slanted group
the 928.... is useless. unless you want to indirectly pay your mechanics mortgage payments.
the 911 would be a more logical choice if you want a Porsche

chick magnet score:

NSX =9.5
SL500=8.0
911 =7,5
928 =5.0 (only if it's the mechanics daughter)

disclamer..
the posters manical opinion, based on no facts.

Any chick who likes the NSX after riding in it for some period of time will probably fuck your ever loving brains out. The SL will be great at landing cougars and sophisticates who like to take it in the ass, with a little coaxing and white zinfandel. The 911 screams "Look at me! I'm an asshole!", so caveat emptor on anything you pick up in one of those. The 928 was cool for about 3 seconds in "Weird Science" because the haze from Kelly LeBrock was still confusing adolescent minds. Perfect 50/50 weight distribution does not translate into a decent car.

Why Porsche 928's were ever cool

^ Got me started.
< May or may not be able to back any of this up.
V Will likely call me ignorant again.

It worked super good for Kelly.

NSX....A very nice looking car indeed. Ironically, I saw one today parked next to a new corvette. No competition on the "good looks" factor! I was thinking, the corvette may be faster but the NSX looks better. Then I started thinking about the pros and cons comparing these 2. A 1998 NSX with 25-30k miles with history would cost ~$40k vs ~$45-50k for a brand new vette (gives me about $5-$10k to offset for the fact the vette will have a warranty). NSX is built better although slower but who in their daily driving gets full use out of every horsepower or floors it every time? NSX looks better IMO, looks to be put together better and is more quiet and comfortable (I have driven both). A 10 y.o. NSX with 25K will probably still outlast a new vette and more reliable. The interior of NSX doesn't look like cheap plastic like the vette. NSX would need a portable gps however. NSX would hold it value much better. In 10 years the 98 NSX would probably cost more or same as a new vette today.

You guys are right. Although the 928 is nice, it probably will not be practical for me (I want somewhat of a daily driver so reliability would be a major factor). 1998-1999 NSX would be the best years to get as far as my prelim research goes as they worked out all the kinks. There is also something very sexy about the pop up headlights IMO, another thing they did away from the vette! Why? Cutting costs? Actually, now that I think about it, no other car today has pop up lights? Right? why? I really like them although they come with their own problems.

NSX seems to be the better choice, reliable choice, sexier choice, and funner choice.

Also, guys, If you find more stuff on the NSX, please post on this thread!
My humble THANKS for all you guys posting on my thread!

The NSX will become as desireable as the Supra based only on its gorgeous looks. Garage queen only.

Tasty!

Girls like classic cars, not new ones, generally speaking. You look like a neo maxie zoom dweeb in any low slung, new exotic. Its day of being in taste has passed.
