I think they do a great job for the money, cheapest way to make some ugly car look good. Expect some drips and overspray, and on close inspection the paint over any bodywork will have a little less luster, but all and all a good deal. Go for their top-level job, its worth the extra couple of hundred extra bucks. I've had a couple of cars done there, lately I had them do a 90 Mazda Progtege, for 600 bucks that tired old jalopy looked great for the money, and I have friends who have done well too. Stick with the original paint color, and go for the "extra sanding" option.
If there are any large "dealer only" auto-auction sites in your area, use the Maaco closest to them, those guys are doing a zillion cars and seem to do a better job. I had a Mercedes done in gloss black at the one outside the Ft. Worth Auto Auction and the car looked great after, I paid 1500 for the car, $400 for the paint (five or so years ago) and sold the car for $3200. Love those guys.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
