Obama springs a leak...

BUSH ANGER: OBAMA AIDES LEAK CHAT DETAILS

Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.

"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.

"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."

The two met at the White House in private, without staff.

"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.

The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."

Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office.

"Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

WH denies Bush holding on 2nd stimulus

The Obama transition team's top official and the White House Tuesday denounced media reports stating that Mr. Bush, in a meeting with Mr. Obama Monday at the White House, had withheld support for a second stimulus and help for automakers until Democrats agree to approve a trade deal with Colombia.

"While the topic of Columbia came up, there was no quid pro quo in the conversation," said John Podesta, the former White House chief of staff under President Clinton who is overseeing the Obama transition.

"The president did not try to link the issue of Colombia to an economic recovery package," he said.

"There was no linkage," said White House press secretary Dana Perino, speaking to reporters in New York, where the president traveled to give a speech on Veterans Day.

What gain does it do for Obama and his team to mistate words and statements? Clearly points to the media once again how left it's intentions are.

While it makes an interesting DRUDGE headline, what makes folks believe that it was Obama's team that leaked the information?

If history is any guide, the Bushies have a pretty good history of leaking information when it benefits them or makes someone else look bad.

Moggie, I want you to get through three consecutive words without a major error in grammar, logic, or spelling. Most people, I ask for an entire sentence, but now that we elected Barack we have affirmative action for people like you
