Oh! I Did it Now..................

Yup I did do it... Some time ago I posted some sort of rambling about quiting where I work and take the early retirement deal they had going in order to reduce the work force.

It was really aimed at a different group in the company and I tossed it around for awhile... Well really I did!

Ok then 6 weeks ago with 3 days left in the plan being availible I said awwww wtf and did it.

I retired.......... Well that only lasted two freaking weeks before my phone started Ringing off the hook with Job offers (geezzz I never even said anything or even looked for anything) to do the same thing I was doing before from Competitors of the company I was working for... So off to the lawyer (why them damn crooks) I went with the "agreement" to see if there was anything that I overlooked or interpreted in a way that was not intended.

Nope Not a damn thing to stop me from doing that... as long as I did not reveal trade secrets that I signed about in the confidential agreement.

So two weeks ago I said Ok to going to work for this other company...... Last week the old company called me wanting me to reconsider.... The New company has set a pay scale that is 18% more than I was making its not alot more but I will be getting the "Retirement" payout plus a paycheck from the New company however the important thing is they are actualy a better ran and much better environment to be in than where I was...

So I think Monday I will tell the old company to to go........heh heh U kno what to themselves

Oh yeah I better get my backside in gear to reduce my tax liability now quick! before I get screwed on that... got a lot to learn about that now...

That is what I like about shutting doors. Others open.

Sounds like you can do well with the new gig, 18% extra, take the retirement package and put it away into something safe [mason jar, mattress, hookers] and enjoy the new environment.

Good luck.
