I do not know how much you guy understand China, Japan and Brazil stock market. I have been traveled to those turfs well before Wall street talk about it 10 years ago. Currently, the down side at those market is 2X more than US, to make the long story short. I was 3 weeks in Hong Kong ,China from Sept 8-30th. You do not even know you are bankrupt before you wake up from your sleep. You can even make it on DOW which you watched 6.5 hours daily , what make you that smart to make money from a foreign market ? If that easy, all the wall street guy will move to oversea. It is always a policy for governments to help their citizen to make money in their own market and keep the $ there for growth. It is the same for our government, regulations will screw average investor. The ADRs you are buying from NYSE is packed e.g. PTR, CEO china oil stock but list in HK exchange. The fluctuation is the finalized from the closing of foreign mkt. Well, that is easy money ? Everyone can punch computer and know the closing. But something everyone knows usually will not make money. No easy LUNCH. remember that.
