How does America pay off it's massive debt?
1. Default on its' bond obligations?
2, Ask the IMF for assistance?
3. Ask world Governments to forgive US debt owed to them?
4. Raise taxes on a) US Corporations? b)Individuals?
5. Reduce spending money on infrastructure ie roads/bridges/schools/hospitals/garbage collection/libraries?
6. Reconsider military commitments?
7. Stop giving taxpayer money to Corporations as a result of Lobby Groups?
8. Ban Lobbygroups?
9. Reorganize Fed & State tax structures?
10. Allow US dollar to gradually decline further against other currencies? (arguably the cheapest way to pay off the debt)
11.Stop all contributions to International organizations ie relief assistance, scientific & humanity efforts etc?
6, 7, 8 would do nicely towards that goal.

Guys,
Your suggestions to solve the national budget is pointless. Good try. I believe the real issues are so complicated that is almost like a project of flying to the moon. That may take teams of MBA and PHD to go through tons of variables involved the revenues and expense size of the budget and making recommendations longer than 10K pages. Even then there will be assumptions that have to be play out in the unknown future. May I ask you a personal question, have you ever work in a budget ways and means committee in the capital hill as aids, if not you guys recommendations are shooting wild gooses. If you ever have work experience as an multi-international financial officer, I will have less doubt in your suggestion. In theory, to balance a national budget is same as your house budget, but in real, it is like the difference of fly a kit and fly a rocket to the moon. All you learn in the media about a few issues or program that can be cut and the budget is balance is just few politician's simply version for you to understand, try to attack the other side for their own benefit in their career. Good luck to be brain wash.
