No, some of us went and had a nice dinner. Chatted with friends and we tried to decide how the folks on the right would continue to rationalize that this was none of their fault. Interestingly, I was the only Democrat at the table. I was the least pissed at Bush and his fine legacy.

They appear firm that they will NOT be voting for McConnell or McCain since those two supported Bushie for the past eight years.

And I just sat back and absorbed the scene. Reality takes longer to smack some people than others.

Not me, but I'm afraid to look at my mutual fund values. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.

I was in the 'ville last weekend. There is some serious mud slinging going on in that senatorial campaign. Mitch will be hard to beat, but anything is possible. I have forgotten his DEM opponent's name at the moment [doh] but remember he has a lotta moohla.

Did, you at least have a I told you so but polite smile on your face?
I don't think I could be so absorbent. I would have jumped up on the table and started dancing around saying as I pointed "you voted for a moron, twice". But, then again that is just a it of a fantasy I'd like to do to all Bushie butt wipes.
And, done a shimmy I may have even mooned them.

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

Depends on how long it can be ignored.

Well, one is a retired Federal Judge and one is a US Marshall so I have to keep the jumping to a minimum with those two at least.

But I did get rolls thrown at me about the fourth time I said "When we started talking about this in 2006...". And I don't think they enjoy me repeating "poisonous fruits of mindless deregulation". But everyone will get through it.

That's why you make a great voter for McCain, he like that... very much!
If he gets elected he will make sure that every American will get his share of sand buckets to dip their heads in whenever reality come crashing. It will also come with tapes repeating in a loop: Everything is just fine, everything is just fine... It's a Jayhawk production you know
