Bail-out Bill Passes

I think we all just got a collective shaft up the ass.

110th Congress, 2nd session, House vote 681 | Congress votes database | washingtonpost.com

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

He said he would rather allow them to have 200 billion then come back in November and vote again if they need more or to see if 200 billion will work.

Well, you lose, they essentially passed it by bribing 12 Congressmen with pork, which added another 100 billion fucking dollars to the thing. This was not the Democratic Party's finest hour, but the Republicans who voted for it voted their souls to Satan.

You can tell the disdain for the bill as the comments here are in single lines.

My issue is with the constitutionality of how they passed this, the particulars of the bill are not all that important right now. But what really rankles my ass is that there is an election in less than forty days. This congress had no right to pass a bill like that, the whole thing looks like a rammed-ass rape of the taxpayer.

Because we all knew the spineless little shits would sell out their country. It was all a matter of adding the proper earmarks (aka bribes).

I probably pay more in taxes than you make.
