I think what Biden himself cited, that the office of the VP, it's duties and other matters, are defined in Article 2, which is the article that creates and defines the Executive Branch, totally shoots down Cheney's power grab bullshit. The fact that Palin wants to pursue Cheneyism makes her, IMO, a power-grabbing danger to our form of government.

The Constitution of the United States

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

McCain is tough on security and defense....Obama no record

McCain voted for our troops....Obama raises the white flag and gets all slick with his tongue and a teleprompt.

McCain is for our troops/war veteran....Obama has in every way with his mouth and votes used our troops for political talking points on the backs of a war making it difficult for advances in the theatre....He should be ashamed of this and hanged for high treason!
Step away from the kool aide pitcher. For the sake of your family. Turn off Rush and Hannity, read something besides those media that support your posturing and THINK.

Or enjoy being lied to by the McCain Straight Lie Express. It really doesn't matter.

Bradley effect has never been run as a national analysis. So there are no stats for it either then or now. I think it will be renamed the Obama effect, whatever the results in November.

Polls have been out of the Margin of Error for well over a week on most of the polls. I have not updated today but it notched up to 5.8 aggregate with Gallup +7 [it comes out at 2pm et]. I would assume that the numbers will compress a bit over the next few days as the VP debate is registered [assuming personality beats policy].

And yes, higher taxes will be needed to pay for the free ride the rich have gotten off of tax cuts financed with borrowed money - but don't worry, it's going to come off of their ass, and your "Muslim/Christian" bigotry, gives us a fucking break.
Can't find a thing in NObama's tax plan that goes to deficit or debt reduction, but plenty goes to the poor. He's deceiving you, FTL.

Betting markets are said to be a better predictor of election results than polls. In 2004 they were way ahead of the curve in the prediction of Bush winning when polls had Kerry ahead.

obama 338
mccain 200
