Who's to say that Ms. Ifill won't wind up giving Biden a couple of extra jabs, now that the question of impartiality has risen. I have a feeling that is part of the reason Charlie Gibson was a bit harsh with Sarah Palin in her first interview. Everyone was criticizing his choice as her first interviewer, suggesting he would softball her. He responded to the softball charge by giving her a couple of extra jabs. That kind of stuff is human nature, and we're all vulnerable to it.

I usually don't even read what you say because it's always so obnoxious, but in this case I did; and it is not what she might ask that worries me, it is what she won't ask Biden that is the big concern.

and if you don't believe me or the posts below.
research it yourself
I read somewhere today that the press release from july is on a republican website.. and has been there since july.
thanks for thanking me for informing you in advance.

Ifill’s book deal is not news — she has discussed the book previously, including with the Washington Post earlier this month. “The book has been out there and discussed for months,” PBS spokeswoman Anne Bell told the Post today. “It’s a non-issue.”

everyone knew about the book on July 31st 2008.
a month before Palin was picked

No...You assume uproar. I simply asked a question.

"If a successful Caucasian Journalist were to write a book on successful Senior Caucasian Politicians and it would be released in January, would this pique your interest?"

Let me answer your question w/ a question: If Bill Kristol were selected to moderate the forum would this pique your interest?

Here is the youtube about the book from Mid September.

YouTube - The Breakthrough by Gwen Ifill

And here is the prepub info on PW from early September.

This story has been around for awhile.

Fiction Springs Forward in 2009 - 9/8/2008 - Publishers Weekly

This is beginning to look like yet another red herring by the right. Don't have policy so let's just trash the place.

She still should not do the debate but not because she did wrong regarding her book. She didn't. She is, on the other hand what appears to be somewhat biased in her opinions on this election. She could, intentionally or unintentionally shade a question. That is not right. There are others who can read questions off cue cards.

The book has nothing to do with my opinion on the subject.
