Rename the USA the USSA because

if Obama gets elected, and what he now claims he will do becomes real, it will now more appropriately read as the United Socialist States of America if the truth is in the pudding. This will be the greatest redistribution of wealth in the history of mankind despite the fact that never in history has increasing taxation ever created more revenue. EVER! Look it up please for verification.

Furthermore I do not understand the hypocrisy of the turn coats who were adamantly against the Iraqi et al occupation and its staggering cost who now gleefully agree to pay for such a folly with open arms and hearts for the simple reason that the other party now says it is ok to pay for it even though it was a mistake, and just looky we can even hire a minority for president to appease the so called left which just happens to be in the majority now.

Can the people not see the collusion behind the two party ruse? Can the people not see that more government oversight only leads to more societal control and less general freedom? Can the people not see that the founding fathers in no way intended this scenario without rebellion? I am disgusted that more people cannot think outside the box and vote independent and stop this manipulative game that remains steadfast based upon easy predictions. Want to rid the USA of the so called ruling class without ruining your future prospects? Then take away predictability.

Perhaps you can tell us how his idea for wealth distributioin is going to happen, now that BushCo has redistributed all the wealth to the wealthy?

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

Actually the greatest redistribution of wealth has been occurring over the past little bit. It has to do with policies and regulations and Administration. That redistribution is now in the hands of China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan and the 1% of Americans who hold nearly 40% of US Wealth. 84% is held by just 20% of Americans. The redistribution has already occurred. MOST have less and a few have a bunch more.

If you are addressing the spending on fixing the broken economy and helping those who have the least among us, I find that much less objectionable than sending monies to Iraq or just blowing shit up. With the two examples of fixing the economy and helping those who have the least, there is, a potential for Return on Investment. If people are smarter, they work more, they make more, they pay more taxes. Regards the economy, it has to be fixed or the results are much, much worse.

As for two party rule, I agree completely. There needs to be competition. Now where are the Libertarians and Independents in Congress and State Houses and Governor's Mansions that make up much of the supporting infrastructure of a legitimate Third Party. It is hard to imagine just having a titular head of the Party running for President without a National Infrastructure. Even if he won, he would spend most of his time building coalitions with the two party systems still in power instead of building change.

My mother had a phrase that used to annoy me when I was young. "Watch your nickels and dimes and the dollars will take care of themselves". After she and my father retired from working in a grocery store for 40 years they traveled to every continent, many, many countries and enjoyed 20 years of retirement.

"Watching your nickels and dimes" also includes taking care of those around you.

Change is good, status quo has proven bad.
