Paul Newman Dies At Age 83

On CNN now...he's been sick a while. Great, great shame. He should have been a professional driver.

I always loved his movies, sadly missed. Not too many actors of his level.

A very gracious man in person, as well. I had the good fortune to chat with him on numerous occassions at CART/Champ Car races. Our motorhomes were usually back to back in the paddock. He was a true gentleman.

My favorite quote was when he won the pole at Lime Rock a few years ago at 80. He actually inherited it, when the pole winner was disqualified. He said something like "I can't believe it, it's not like I'm 75 anymore!"

Big shame. Always enjoyed 'Cool hand Luke' and his salad dressings.

Makes me want to go ice skating in a jock strap. Thanks for the memories.

Boss, he's shaked his last bush. He gave plenty back, a good man.
