I have seen him many, many times and met him quite a few - not for over the past 10 years sadly, although Anne (my sister) did catch up with him on his recent extended stay in Oz.

Shivers is just the track to cheer one up when a bit down Caves King Ink is a good read if you havn't done so already. I went to a show in Sydney about 81 and still have the Poster of the Bones...Ahh the old days when illness was in vouge.

I dunno, they always seemed like they were copying my delicious Cramps, plus they never played the loony bin:

Click on "Single Girl, Married Girl" and you will never have heard such tight harmonies. I wet myself.

Very, very nice. Great harmonies.

I'm not so sold on the "Single Girl, Married Girl" bit. I guess if you've listened to as much Alison Krauss as I have, your standards for vocals are pretty high. They were tonally fine, but it just sounded like being in a living room with some old timey neighbor's kids singing old songs...mostly the diction seemed off, and one of them seemed a little nasally.

YouTube - Alison Krauss - Down To The River To Pray (Live)

"Ocean of Diamonds" was a good track though.

Wondering how much Lyle Lovett has stimulated the eardrums of TK, or others...took me a while to un-write him off for the whole hair and Julia Roberts thing.

(Couldn't find Skinny Legs or Fat Babies, unfortunately)

You might also like the album Alison Krauss did with Robert Plant lately; Raising Sand.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE_J8BUP5Sc <- Seriously.

I have never ever been able to get into Nick Cave...the appeal there totally escapes me.
