The mean old man factor. I think Obama did a better job than McCain in regard to reaching/swaying undecideds because of that. Obama came across as a nicer and more interesting guy. But each performed up to expectations and spoke well to his supporters.
Yes, but my reading on poll data across the country shows a nice mushy middle, and it is there where the election will be won. I think Obama made himself a nice marshmellow sandwich. He will be the one to gain actual votes out of it, especially considering this is a crowd that watches a lot of network TV and have been digesting Palin/Coric all week. I thing it was a marvelous job of targeted marketing.
