I have my grandmother's cast iron cookware. Four pieces. I still use them for pancakes, potato cakes and cornbread.

No, the front came in from the East [unusual direction] so we had full cloud cover by sunset. Louisberg didn't get the front until after dark.

What can I say.

Well, the garage is DONE except for two items. First the Fn electricity is not connected from the pole to the garage. That means that final inspection cannot take place which means the Orange Tag on the building permit won't go away allowing me to use the garage. This is only costing me $1500 a month for the other facility.

The other thing is deciding on the pavement [driveway] in front of it.
  • I don't want concrete because of the trees for a couple of reasons. First it will crack within the hour due to roots. Second, Berries and birdshit will drive me nuts.
  • Asphalt [blacktop, macadam] is out also as the building spec will require cutting through enough roots that I think that the trees will be damaged. Somehow the contractor failed to get that to me prior to starting.
  • Fieldstone, fancy term for big-assed flat rocks. I think we are going this way for the part that is in front of the garage and around the trees. This looks much better than any other options and simply lays on top of the clay. It is also the least expensive option but not by much. Limestone ROCK is about $150 a ton which will cover 100-125sqft. I need to cover 700 sqft. Then, after that is done [in the next two weeks] the regular driveway gets done in asphalt.
THEN I am done.
