Interesting. Much is right, with one very startling exception. He uses the "public held debt" figure that is as arcane as can be as the baseline for his discussion. It allows him to discuss a $5.4Trillion National Debt and ONLY a $234Billion annual interest payment. That also skews ALL calculations as the number he uses does not include other debts that the Government has incurred [and is fully obligated to] nor does it include commitments [also fully obligated].
So while this is close, the choice to use a selective National Debt number that is not used by any official or legitimate source [and one that is just 50% of actual] he misdirects the significance of the message.
Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
