I like the "adjustment for 2006 dollars". Wonder just how much that chart would change with 2008 dollars, you know, the ones that count.

I didn't know which direction you were going with the question. Here in Lex we have non-partisan mayoral elections and unless you know who endorses them or who they endorse, it is sometimes difficult to tell.

Big city mayors have that core of poverty that is just not going to change quickly. I would guess that Phoenix even has a statistically lower income "city" population than all the burbs. It is just the trends that we, as a country designed in then 1940-50s.

You misunderestimate the point of my post. If all/most major metropolitan mayors are Dem, the OP's list is rendered moot.

Probably never heard of Rudy Giuliani, either. Or are you just trying to redefine Republican to your own purposes?

Sorry, if you don't think Giuliani is a Republican mayor (former), then I couldn't possibly believe anything you say about Ron Paul.

It's traditional to adjust to the older time period. You could use 2008 dollars if you wanted, but the point would still be made. But you just wrote that to create a little FUD without making a real assertion, didn't you? Coyness is your tool.
