To wit: when Russia invaded, NObama released a statement condemning the "outbreak of violence" and urging both sides to show "restraint." A sorry response. An "outbreak suggests there was no agency behind the war. That it simply sprung into being. Not so. Russia invaded. Russia was responsible. And it was Russia, not the defeated Georgians, which needed--and still needs--to show "restraint."

McCain did not equivocate. He called Russia what it is--the aggressor in an unjustified war. And he was unafraid to express solidarity with a fellow democracy, saying, "We are all Georgians."

As time passed, NObama began to sound more like McCain. Occasionally he emerged from his vacation quarters in Hawaii and ratchet up the rhetoric. In a later statement, NObama said there was no justification for Russia's actions. He called on Russia to end the violence immediately. He supported economic aid to Georgia to help reconstruction.

On Georgia, the differences between the two candidates grew smaller and smaller. And soon only one difference remained. McCain had been there first.
You need to go back and read YOUR reasons that the 3:00AM phone call meme is not relevant. There is a striking contradiction between THAT and the above post.

So, you really think the McCain logic of trying to paint Russia into a corner is Presidential Material. Exactly who is going to cash that check he wrote with his unrestrained bravado?

The observation was that both candidates acted cowboy like, it just took NObama two weeks to get there. And that puts the 3 a.m. phone call in context for you.
Yes it did. But I don't think in the way you think it does.

I suppose I'm waiting in the queue, bottomfeeder? Please, tell us more about this glorious utopia we take for granted. If loving republicans is wrong, baby I don't wanna be 'right'.

I wanna be left.

Did I say that right?

Silly me, I forgot that race was a factor in 'them there' hills.

Good thing you're only worth 5 electoral votes Musikmann.

Your tone is insulting to thoughtful Americans. Try forwarding this to a list of the indoctrinated, or deal with the issue in a serious way.

Tonight a knock at the door and I made the stupid mistake of answering it. It was a preacher [and educator]. I thought it might be a politician. Then the preacher [and educator] handed me two pieces of paper, a business card and started talking about political correctness and soon [VERY SOON] started talking about race. I heard Wifie in the next room with friends say "this is not going to end well".

I agreed with him that political correctness was stupid. That people should say what was on their mind, what they believed. Then I told him to get his Neanderthal, racist, cretinous redneck ass out of the neighborhood. He seemed surprised. By the way, his card says he has a M.Ed. That is terrifying.

And I have his email.

Here is the text of the card he had handed me.
Yes, there are economic and behavior differences among white persons, but if we don't start to hang together, we may surely hang separately.

Yes, the power of God can transcend across cultural and racial boundaries, but today's politically correct Establishment is sacrificing the vital concerns of European-American men and boys to the non-vital interests of blanks, Jews and other minorities.
As he was leaving I noticed two police cars coming up the street. My 88 year old neighbor, who had previously been visited had called the cops. I did note that one cop was female and one was black. Karma can be a bitch.

My response was to the OP.

Sorry. I should have made that clear.
