I think you can fake stupid, but you can't fake intelligence.

However, you can't FIX stupid: YouTube - Can't Fix Stupid

You can fake stupid I do it quite often and very well. And you can fake intelligence to a degree but only if you don't hold the conversation for too long and get tripped up. Or try to keep it up in a group and can't remember who you told what to. Then they all know you are stupid. The art is little info on subjects you know a little about and don't elaborate.

I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

You most CERTAINLY can fake stupid. As a matter of fact, I did so this morning. If you want to know who you can and can not trust, feed the person in question info, that, if it gets back to you, you KNOW it had to have come from this person. You have to make it sound juicy, but the info must be harmless lest you find yourself looking for another job. What did I find out? Not only can I NOT trust this f^ckwad, he wasted little time attempting to be subversive by reporting this 'juicy' info to all the employees. From this day on, I'll use him as my tool.

I found that, in singing a little Country ditty at a party that turned dangerously to Karaoke, it is indeed possible.

A man that does not cover his ass, his back and refuses to look where the knives are coming from is a fool and has no business being a manager. You have to reward employee's loyalty while weeding out subversive people. Subversive people undermine you, the company and they will, eventually, sink it. Any time there is change, you have an element that doesn't like it and they will go to hell to ensure that they are a burr in your saddle, to see that you fail and heartily laugh while you stumble. I have about 3 of those and they will be addressed. The rest are good employees that know if something isn't changed, they will be seeking work in a time when it isn't pleasant to be looking.
