The Truth:
Palin did not ask for any actual books to be banned.
According to Anchorage Daily News, Wasilla Mayor Sarah Palin asked librarian Mary Ellen Baker if she would be all right with censoring library books should she be asked to do so. Baker's reply was that she would definitely not be all right with it. When questioned about this Palin called her inquiries rhetorical and simply part of a policy discussion with a department head "about understanding and following administration agendas."

lol. i almost did the same

rherorical? why ask.. what kind of policy is this? this would be the last thing i'd be worried about. besides, pretty sure it's in the librarian code of ethics so this question was at the least in insult to the librarian.

i am just amazed by those who vigorously support mac/lipstick in light of last couple of weeks.

How long was Joe Biden "protected" from the big bad media? Are you really suggesting that Ms. Palin is just a poor little country girl that can't take the heat? 'Cause seriously, that's what it sounded like you said.

Try tossing the partisan lenses aside for a moment and see the situation for what it is. And what it is, is embarrassing.
Yea, must suck to be obama/biden right now.

If the media would've put as much pressure on BO the last couple years as they have on Palin the last couple weeks, there wouldn't be so many unanswered questions of BO.

I've never seen a candidate so scared to debate in an open forum as BO.

You just can't stand that the media is being nudged out of the equation. the media has lost the people
If I'm not mistaken they will be having VP debates soon. You'll just hold off on the blood letting till then.
Why is the campaign hiding her. Is she just that incomplete as a candidate? Is she just that weak?

And Mondale once asked, "Where's the Beef?" All we see is dried out bun.

As if the media hasn't tried to put their grubby partisan hands all over her.
Sorry you're a little slow with that line, I used it a few days ago.

Good for you.

The McCain campaign has control of her access and schedule [though maybe not her Yahoo acct]. It is up to them to be forthcoming. Or continue arrogance and hubris.

So far it looks like the plan is backfiring. With nothing but bad and corrupted information, they have not been able to put anything positive out since the convention.

Unless of course they shot their wad at the convention.

"As if the media hasn't tried to put their grubby partisan hands all over XXXXXX."

Where XXXXXX = the name of any politician in the U.S. other than Sarah Palin. Try it out a few times, MP -- and you'll realize how ridiculous it sounds.

Examples:
Nancy Pelosi
Hillary Clinton
Jesse Jackson
Ron Paul
Abraham Lincoln
Ralph Nader

Keep going until you find one that sounds like a good fit.

And this is McCain's running mate. McCain, who the "partisan" media has traditionally treated like a minor deity.

What seems to be missing in the above list is obama/biden!
