How about a Mercedes for a change?

Should I make a run at it?

That looks nice.

What do you think it will cap at?

That is the big question. Hard to say on a car so well photographed and restored. A genuine #1 is always hard to pin down on price. There are so many fakers to the throne that make the price is hard to predict. I am going to guess $45k to $50k but it could go crazy and hit $60kish if two or three fellas get boners. Book high retail (NADA) is $31k. There is obviously a fortune more than that in her.

I think the NADA number is low for a #1 and agree with the $50 range. I don't think I would go above that. Set a bid bot and then leave as the bidding gets to the end. That keeps you from last second impulse buying.

I would think that will carry well for the next decade. Should maintain good value. Are their any examples at MBCA for sale right now, or Hemmings?

Can't set a genuine bid as Ghost Bidding is wild and rampant on E Bay. Must wait and see and probably wait until the auction is over and start a chit chat.
