It's the Hadron thingy, they turned it on, we are experiencing a time shift

The fact that the rest of the world wants Obama tells you we shouldn't want him. Of course the rest of the world wants to make us weaker. Nobody wants us to be the greatest country in the world anymore.

The world would just like us to mind our own business instead of occupying ourselves with delusions of empire. U.S. troops in 135 countries. I get the message from the other thread that you're one of those big-government liberal republicans that have pretty much taken over the GOP, but even you have to admit that that's spreading ourselves a bit thin...

Me a liberal? It doesn't get much more conservative than me. I am all about guns, babies, and Jesus. Abortion is murder, I have the right to carry a gun, and Jesus is the reason for the existence of this country.

Social conservative, not conservative. Social conservatism is a form of socialism, not conservatism. Big government, do as I say, adopt and enforce my values by law or military might (even upon other sovereign nations) -- all of that couldn't possibly be further removed from true conservatism.

Some of that has nothing to do with conservatism, at least the classical definition. Might I suggest you read the teachings of Ron Paul?

I don't agree in trying to force democracy and my values on the rest of the world.

The reason I support going to war in Iraq was not just because it was a dictatorship. I support it because HE was committing major crimes against humanity on a daily basis. Nothing wrong with a GOOD dictator.

I am not concerned enough with it to do so. But thanks for the advice. What is the classification for a person who makes all of their political decisions based on a moral standard which was described in detail some 6000 years ago?

Maybe I should just call myself a Christian? Conservatives probably don't fall in the same category nearly as often as they used to.

I don't support empire building tactics, but I cannot sit idly by and watch people be tortured by the people who are supposed to be leading them.
