Apparently you miss that there is something totally hilarious about a candidate who claims that "abstinence only" education works, and who was a governor who actively opposed any sex education at all in the schools, having a knocked-up daughter. To me it is an obvious joke on this woman, who wants to push her religious beliefs down everyone's throat using the law. Anyone who wants to argue against it merely has to point at Palin and her daughter for a good example of what is going to happen if we put people like her in power, knocked up teenagers with no access to abortion, like the world I grew up in. Maybe if the hockey captain dumps her she can get herself a good ole coathanger abortion and die in a nice back alley somewhere, and the joke will be complete.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

You can use all your slime on the candidate, if you want, just lay off the kid.
The idea that Palin was promoting a right wing, Christofacist agenda to the general population while her daughter was "excused" from it wouldn't wash well either. As for "laying off the kid" I was not the one who suggested the pregnant kid was a political asset a few dozen posts earlier. Once the parent has that situation in one hand it is the parent's responsibility for what her "adult" decisions bring down on the kid she is now holding up as an example of "pro-life" wonderment and joy. She can't have it both ways, and if she is really a seasoned political decision maker, she understands that and has consciously gambled with her daughter's self esteem in this ambitious grab for political power.

If I was running for President and I lived in 3 different countries and had been a citizen in all 3, I'd definitely expect trouble, especially if I failed to renounce my citizenship in one of those countries (besides the U.S. of course). That is one of the many 'allegations' made. If the kook that filed the suit gets a judge to hear it, then Obama better have it together.

Citizen in all three? wow, hold on there bud! You got proof? I lived in many countries for extended times but that does not make me a citizen of those countries no matter how much I liked it there. Obama, just like you and me is an American, born in America (unless you consider Hawaii a foreign nation)
