Well China's strategy is economic domination.

While the UK and France are estimated to have more nukes, China is estimated to be on par with Israel (I wish I could remember where I read that to reference it from), with India and Pakistan not far behind.

Hmm.. nutz posted that graph while I was posting this, apparently China has double Israel...

I wasn't suggesting all politics - just US politics...

I fail to see how a request for a sub-forum qualifies as a thread about politics

AMERICA HECK YEAH!

Russia and China have large militaries true. The actual danger or power comes from the ability to project that power. The Russians and Chinese have never truly tried to be a world military power. They understand that they can not compete with the "Cold War" way of waging war. They see what happened to the Russians/Soviets. The Chinese are particularly perspicacious. They have historically examined the ways of their enemies and always found their weaknesses. Our weakness is in the Economic realm.

If you ever get a chance to speak with or interact with a Chinese military officer (I have). You will be very surprised at the sophistication of their understanding of all things economic. They are taught this from an early age so as to see our weaknesses and our inabilities to muster on the economic front. Just look at who owns most of our debt.

The IMF was a very large mistake. When we came off the Gold standard we became instantly dependent upon other countries. Of course they upon us as well. But we lost some sovreignty to decide for ourselves in our own self interests.

Not exporting as much as we import also creates a huge downward pressure on out currency as it relates to our GDP. they (Chinese) all understand this. It is very interesting that when you start doing business in China you very quickly find out that the PLA (army) is involved deeply.

So the bottom line is the Russians always try to out muscle the USA but they can not without destroying themselves. The Chinese see that so they try to outsmart the USA.

The problem in the USA is that the businessmen do not go to China to defeat China. They go to make money.

The Chinese are not hobbled by this myopic view of capitalism.

Your post makes sense, but America's biggest problem is that it wants to dominate all situations but will not join the rest of the world in "cleaning up the problems".

We have just witnessed what international courts can achieve in bringing country leaders to court, But can they bring American leaders to book - no, and why?
