October GTG Set List
Let's assume we find instruments, or those of us who have easily portable ones bring them. What should we play?
Here's a few songs that I either can or have played with small groups, use them for ideas.
"Rikki Don't Lose That Number"
"The Way It Is" - I'll need to de-rust for this
"North Dakota" - the Lyle Lovett version.
"Cool Change" - I picked this up fairly quick for a friend's wife's 40th.
"Piano Man" - Also need to de-rust for this
"Bitches Ain't Shit" - Ben Folds version
"Hey Jude" / "Imagine"
Coldplay, Keane, or Ben Folds (to a point - can't nail the solos for One Angry Dwarf And 200 Solemn Faces, nor Bastard).
With a keyboard & transpose, I can play about any standard blues song in G (which I guess is what most people learn it in, but I learned it in F - go figure).
If you want to find cheat book music cheap & easy, do a google search for the song name plus the keywords "tabs" or "chords"...this is basically how I figure out how to play just about everything.
