I remember when a track God came out to the lowly street (interstate) races. He was a blonde stud, with a pretty wife and a new Viper GTS and Z06 to boot. After listening to him for an hour about all his awards and conquests I quietly thought to myself I am totally unworthy to breathe the same air. We finally went out to the hgihway to do our usual racing and...
he was too afraid to go fast. We finally nursed him up to 130mph then he nailed the brakes. So annoyed was I that I got as close as possible to him as I passed him at 150+mph in my C5 'vert. He yanked in late response to the shoulder. He went home and never talked to us again. What really hurts is my life long friend (and so arrogant pal) was correct, the track guys have no real world experience he would say and laugh. Proven true to the core that night.
