GermanStar proclaims that Kamil was the ultimate troll. I suggested that another one here was the Troll King. Now, I read the Jayhawk in a different light and I wonder if he hasn't been the most consistent chain yanker of them all. Only the man who broke bread with him knows for sure...or does he?

One of my reasons for leaning toward Obama was the fact that he has the ability to inspire (especially younger) voters to get involved. Can you imagine if instead of a 35% total eligible voter turnout, we had an 80% voter turnout? It seems to me that the rug would get yanked out from under special interests and lobbys due to the fact that politicians would have to respond to the far greater wishes and needs of constituents. Also worthy of note is the selloff friday in the market really increased when the announcement of Ms. Palin was reported. Maybe Wall Street is pricing in a lower chance of a McCain victory on his choice.

Here is Jay's modus operandi, I figured it out long ago. Attack one of Jay's heroes (i.e. Bush or Cheney), and he reacts inappropriately, as if he were being attacked personally. Attack Jay himself, and he doesn't take it personally at all, typically reacting with grace and humor. Is that trolling or something else? You decide.

What if that's part of his ingenious plan? It's almost like a triple double agent.

Sounds like a pitch for pure democracy. So government should respond to the "wishes and needs of constituents"? If so, we are all doomed. Think of the extremes of that possiblity. Dream on, Leon. The tension between what is possible from government and that which is desired by the masses keeps us all safe.

Frankly, I'm comforted when we don't have 80% voter turnout and you should be, too. Some folks are too dumb or just uninformed (or dead) to vote intelligently.

I'll take those voters over Republicans who for some reason are filled with hate.
