Each candidate worked with an entire political party and a team of experts to choose the running mate that would best enhance his chance of winning the fall election. Opponents of each are aghast at the horrific selections. I'm shocked.

Michelle Obama will easily over shadow this girl. I am scratching my head. Once they place Michelle in the position of being first lady, then its going to be more like Obama Biden against McCain.
I just don't see Hillary voters going for a pro-life candidate. They are rabid on that issue.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

I believe you 100% and agree. The numbers this move will produce for McCain will be small. I hope Sarah gives great speeches....LOL. Germanstar mentioned how each team worked on picking a running mate. WTF was McCain's team thinking.

Everybody is going after the so called Hillary deflectors. I think the DC pulled most of them back to the understanding that unity is whats going to defeat the Republican Party this year. We are seeing history in the making and its exciting but this will be one ugly and nasty race to the white house.

From the stand point of Obama being black McCains team then went and chose a women running mate to even the odds of creating history. Sure if from that point he will gain more votes, but he is going to have to spend spend spend and this may be where he'll fail. If his money runs dry by attacking Obama early in the race then he will fall short.

Since being given the vote nearly 90 years ago, were women supporting Hillary Clinton because they liked her politics or the fact that she was a female with a viable (counta G.S.) chance at a top executive position?

Now take Hillary Clinton away and give them Father Flager's opportunity stealing Barack Obama to vote for instead. They'd probably mostly remain true to the party and vote for him.

Now put a Hillary Clinton lookalike in as McCain's second. You think a couple of issues will supersede their chance to finally place one of their own in office?

I think McCain is trying to throw the election with his VP pick. I think he doesn't really want to be president.

Isn't it sexist to call her a bimbo?

I just want to say that MY credentials of Foreign Policy expertise have been validated today. At a conference call to supporters, a McCain Aid explained her credentials as:
In a conference call with allies of the campaign, one participant raised questions about her unknown foreign policy views, according to a GOP source on the call.

McCain adviser Matt McDonald sought to allay these concerns by citing her experience dealing with international trade issues and even her travel overseas and her eldest son’s Army service.
Now, I deal with international business on four continents, I have extensive travel overseas AND I have my own military experience, not relying on someone else's.

So not to churn [counta dig] this too much, it would provide me with viable [counta gs, dig] credentials.
