Once again Jim, I'm not your son...dick.
I never called you my son. For the many reasons you have displayed, you wouldn't qualify and I am not that generous.
The tone of the discussion was set when you set up your position based on the confusion of yellow cake and weapons grade nuclear materials and defended it by calling others names. Now that you seem to be past that sequence of errors and want to discuss the massive fuck-up to America's security that the invasion of Iraq is, you have to be more willing to accept data for what it is, or we will be repeating the yellow cake experience over and over.
The main reasons why the invasion of Iraq has damaged the security of our country is Iran is now going to inherit Iraq when we eventually leave, and we have done nothing to even begin to address Iran as a specific threat.
Along the way we have trampled on all our meaningful alliances in the world, and taken our eye off nearly everything else. Well, except I suppose, Putin's soul as seen by Bush through Putin's eyes.
Iraq has been an enormous fuck up that has made America less secure. We have not captured or killed Ossama, the Taliban has reformed and and our military is physically and psychologically exhausted. We have not imposed our will on anyone, and our performance is not going to serve as a deterrent. I am, admittedly alone in this, an advocate for having nuked Ossama in Afghanistan on September 12, 2001. The whole shit would be over and that would have convinced others not to fuck with us like that. We do nukes well, and we don't do this Iraqi insurgency fighting well at all. When it comes to national security, we should stick to what we do well. And, killing 200,000 people in an instant and another 50,000 within a few years as a result of that nuke is no worse in my mind than killing more people over 7 years.
