I'd like to take a stab at answering that one, if'n you don't mind. I see two good reasons to worry about Iran. Both are based on the (hard to argue) premise that Ahmadinejad is a legitimate nut-job. Iran provides all kinds of support for insurgents operating in Iraq. Iran takes tremendous international esteem from certain parts of the world by doing whatever they can to "stick it" to the west, and more specifically the US. If they were to gain nuclear weapons I think there is a legitimate chance that those nuclear weapons could be used -

1) in Iraq against US soldiers.

2) in Saudi Arabia as a way to destabilize the al Saud family's grasp on power, causing all kind of havoc with world oil markets and the western economy.

I don't think he's the kind of guy we want to have nuclear weapons. Having said that, B&T is attempting to redirect the argument away from his original (and flawed) premise - that invading Iraq was done in the name of US security and the liberation of an oppressed people.

^ I'm not saying he's the kind of guy we want having nukes either. A) Don't over-estimate him...not even the Iranians like the sonofabitch. B) We mitigate the risk to US soldiers by de-assing Iraq and Afghanistan, PDQ. C) The oil concern is *everyone's* problem. WE don't need to be the only people worried about Iran. The entire European bloc would/should be sweating the same bullets.

We both empowered and threatened Iran by invading Iraq. A U.S. invasion of Iraq does not end without a stronger, more influential Iran.

I agree with B (as it relates to Iraq) and C completely. As far as A is concerned, the opinions of the Mullahs in Qom count for more than the people of Iran, unfortunately.

And if you're the superintendent now, I'm having a problem with a toilet that wont stop running...I'll need you to come have a look at it

How? Shiite Iran, Shiite Iraq, right?

Actually, douche, I was trying to raise some points about the instability in the middle east and get some viewpoints on something other than the invasion of Iraq. More specifically, I was trying to speak with some people other than you.
