It's scratched to shit and couldn't cut toilet paper. I've never done anything to it, but it was well-worn when it came into my possession.

They are made of really cheap metal and many of them were cut down to use on belts as "bowie" type knives. And you are right, they are not sharp and will not hold an edge. They came on the market just after WW2 and wandered through every Army-Navy store in America.

When the hell did butterfly knives (balisong) become illegal? I was searching eBay for one to purchase and all the had were 'mock' type? I had a wide assortment that I carried to high school during the 80's. WTF? Anyone have one that they want to sell?
