It was a rebroadcast I was watching earlier. There are like three or four supermodels on their team....and the rest could be porn starlets.

ON topic:

What one sits on up to 8 hours a day (not one's butt or mate) does matter.

I've been sitting on an Ikea Chair meant for kids in my office. In a small house I live in, the scale is just right but my back pays dearly for it.

Aeron Chairs - I have spec'd them for many projects yet I have never sat in one for more than 3 minutes. Are they worth the cost? My office is a compact room with a sloped ceiling. Aeron Chairs are so imposing I'm afraid it'll take over the space, much like the way Gregor Samsa occupies a room in his family house in "Metamorphosis", although I've noticed that they have titanium frames with zinc-colored mesh that would definitely work in my space.

I'm a freak, but I hate the Aeron chairs. If you're one of these guys who occasionally does the half-indian leg-under-butt thing, it's terribly uncomfortable, and if you sit 8 hours a day, then you probably adopt some alternative postures for periods of time. No replacement for padding.

You seen these Lane leather executive chairs? They look Mack.

Aeron Chair, especially the original color scheme (black frame, charcoal mesh) is really imposing in small spaces.

Lane? you might as well go with Eames Line if you ae into chairs as you are with burgers and grilled cheese.

Wow, a thread with Kafka references, uncomfortable chairs and Swedish women, can't be all bad.
