Vonny, quit trying to read what I write, you fail everytime.

Prabowo was the one that setup the 98 riots in Jakarta, he was the mastermind so as to be able to step up and declare martial law and take over in a little coup to over throw his father-in-law Suharto. I detest the Prabowo the fuckup but it is interesting you had no idea of this.

As for the Indonesians they thoroughly hate Chinese Indonesians, they have ripped off this country over and over and over. They setup factories use and abuse the locals working in the factories pay them nothing for working and when the Chinese Indonesians get caught by Nike, or whoever they are producing for they claim they have no money to pay the salaries for 2 or 3 months and then close the factory one night and run. Of course there are small potatoes on the paperwork and the money men just open another factory under another small potatoe. Dominic brought up the corrupt Indonesians in the govt. but it would not be so bad if all of the Chinese Indonesians were not paying 5 cents on the dollar corruption money to steal money out of the govt's pocket. We have 2 major corruption cases going on right now, on the news all the time and who is paying a Chinese Indonesian Billionaire's sister-in-law and who is accepting the USD 670,000 bribe, an Indonesian in the Attorney's General office? The other case again a Chinese Indonesian business man paying USD 50,000 to an Indonesian govt. official to be awarded a tender worth 10 million USD. Talk about cheap...........

And as a side questions why did the Indonesians retaliate against Chinese Indonesians? Why did they do it with so much gusto and fervor but yet not touch any of the 40,000+ white skinned expats that were in the Jakarta area at the time?
The Indonesians retaliate against the Chinese Indonesian because of envy and their Christians. They are industrious, smarter and knows how to work the system.

The Chinese Indonesians can trace their roots in Indonesia to before Christopher Columbus discovered America. They make up less than 4% of the population in Indonesia but control a vastly disproportionate chunk of the Indonesian economy even thou they were never part of the Indonesia’s government from before Dutch to Dutch and to the current government. How could a group of people who had no power but end up being better- off than the people in charge of the country?

The corruptions in Indonesia are epic, your Indonesian friends need to clean up their act. The Chinese Indonesian are doing what the old saying goes, “When you’re in Rome do what the Romans do”. I remember before they don’t even trust their own people that they had to hire SGS, a Swiss company to run their Customs Service. Is SGS still collecting import and export duties for the government?
