It was 40 Years Ago Today...

Tonight I got a surprise dinner. A bunch of the Eagle Scouts for whom I served as their Eagle Adviser and some folks from my old troop back in the mountains got together and threw me a 40th Anniversary of achieving Eagle Scout. Dang, much water has flowed under the bridge.

On My Honor I will do MY BEST...

Everything else just falls into place.

It was a fun evening.

The kid had fun as a lifeguard for a few years and had fun growing up. But I am not sure I would enjoy all the stuff that the past 40 years has put in the way. Much has been good, some has been great, a few beyond my wildest expectations but once was enough.

Fuck Bear I wouldn't want to live my last 40 years again too, but I hate confirming this.

A single digit scout troop? Wow. Then I see that the Eagle Scout was the ASSISTANT Senior Patrol Leader. That must have been one tough group of Scouts.

Nice work on the neckerchief slide. Do you still have it? I'd love to see a color closeup. I would have expected to see the Order of the Arrow somewhere.

Well done, sir, from a Star Scout who just couldn't swim well enough to cover that mile needed for the next step to Life.

Congratulations on your recognition from the guys!
