This entire episode is an insult to the tradition of impartial justice for all, something this country is supposed to stand for. The episode is also an insult to the American Justice Sytem, a symbolic claim by right wing shit fucking pigs who hate our system of impartial justice, pigs that want us all to believe that our system of justice does not work and needs to be superceded by jackbooted military fascists, even though this man is accused of complicity in the murder of US citizens on US soil. His trial is illegal. He is not subject to military justice, he is a simple criminal that needs to be tried by a jury of his peers, fellow typical human beings that he is accused of committing crimes against, not some military monkey trial worthy of Stalin and Hitler. Fuck the GOP and their kangaroo trials.

So on one hand, the US sends whoever associated with OBL to a military tribunal where system of impartial justice as KV noted is completely obliterated by military hardliners' arbitrary guidelines and sentence OBL's driver, apparently with an education level of an average American 4th grader, whose job was to simply drive OBL, to imprisonment, while the US leaders clamor to get immunity from the ICC, citing any claims brought upon US leaders, past and present, is frivolous and unjust.

When he was arrested, his car was loaded with rocket-propelled grenades.

Well, that is normal requirement for Bin Laden driver and bodyguard.
The guy should be free.
He might find a job in New York.

Actually, the US Military claims he was found with rocket propelled grenades in his car, and of course, the US Military was both his judge and his prosecutor, and of course, supplied his defense attorney as well. I am sure this was a truthful statement on their part, seeing how they fairly judged themselves as being impartial. Myself, since no actual judge or actual jurying actually ascertained the facts, I assume this claim has about the same chance of being true as Rove not leaking a CIA officers's name or Saddam having WMDs, or of the US Justice Department fairly investigating itself, typical Republicanism - as long as they say it's true, suckers like bottomfeeder believe it.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address
