I would rent a radio and headset at the track. It helps immensly with figuring out what's going on during the race. I'm not much of a Nascar fan, but I've been to a few races and similar to Indy and F1, it's hard to really get what's going on other than watching the leader board (if you can see it) and listening to the PA during caution periods.
With a radio and headset you can listen to indiviual team radios (they'll give you a llst of frequencies) or just listen to the track feed. It will really make the race more fun.
