San Francisco to vote on prosecuting prostitutes
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A measure that aims to keep prostitutes from facing criminal charges has qualified for the November ballot in San Francisco.
The measure would bar authorities from spending money to investigate or prosecute people for engaging in prostitution.
The measure, which qualified Friday, would also end a local program that allows those caught soliciting a prostitute for the first time to avoid charges if they attend a class and pay a fine.
The Erotic Service Providers Union recently gathered the 12,000 signatures necessary to put the measure on the ballot.
Mayor Gavin Newsom says the measure would hurt the city's ability to investigate and prosecute sex-trafficking crimes.

Think of the possibilities, It could be a Sanctuary City Plus or be called The New Tijuana entrepreneurs city wide are taking out futures on the donkeys around the city...........
Dumbest set of laws we have in this country. Make it legal and you can reduce health issues, drug issues, the obvious pimping issues, control of where services are sold and Republican politicians won't have criminal records [at least for vice].

100% agree. The resources could be spend on better programs.
German Prostitutes are licensed, have to pass a series of medical tests STD/HIV etc. twice a month, and pay taxes.
I may have mentioned this before, but someone I know used to run an escort service in Dallas, TX.
He once told me their most frantic / busy time ever was during the 1984 National Convention of the Republican Party of the United States. He literally had to beg the girls to take one or two more calls when they were getting tired.
