Greenspan provided the drinks with all the interwoven investment instruments [aka House of Cards], Bushie was simply the Enabler in Chief for the past Seven years sending out the regulators to provider shooters instead of governing the industry.

I find it interesting that Bushie used the term "Wall Street Got Drunk". Apparently our C- President also doesn't get it that Wall Street reacts to the fundamentals of commerce, it is not, by itself the issue. It is the Financial Sector that got Drunk. And we continue to ENABLE them with bailouts and "soft landings" and allow their decision makers to remain in place after they have lost over a TRILLION DOLLARS of stockholder assets. Fn Brill.

Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.

Another deep and compelling analysis by George Bush.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address
